Forge Privacy Policy

How Cognautic handles privacy for Forge and related services.

Last updated: March 8, 2026

Overview

Cognautic aims to minimize unnecessary data collection and keep users in control of how Forge is used.

This policy explains what we collect, what we do not intend to collect, and how third-party integrations fit into the product.

No Data Sale

Cognautic does not sell user data.

We do not operate Forge as a system for harvesting user files, chats, prompts, credentials, or browser sessions for resale.

Telemetry

We may collect limited telemetry and diagnostics to improve the product.

  • Crash information
  • Error and reliability data
  • Basic feature usage signals
  • Install or runtime diagnostics

This telemetry may be used to improve stability, performance, usability, and security.

Local Operation

Forge is designed to run locally. Files, shell output, browser state, and workflow context may remain on your device unless you choose a feature that sends data to an external provider or service.

Third-Party Services

If you connect providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, OpenRouter, Groq, Cerebras, custom endpoints, browsers, or MCP servers, those services may receive data you choose to send through Forge.

Those services operate under their own privacy policies and terms.

Tokens And Authentication

Where authentication is needed, tokens or local integration state may be stored on your device so connected features continue to work. Those credentials are used to perform actions you authorize.
